Pedro Mateos is going ahead in the Eroski Center Trophy
Pedro Fernando Mateos and Ultra Lord won this morning their second victory in Casas Novas. The Spanish rider was the best in the Eroski Center Trophy, between more than 40 participants. With a time of 25.29 seconds, Mateos led classification virtually throughout the test, since he went out to the track in ninth place. It was Mateo’s third podium with this horse, after yesterday’s victory in the Lexus Trophy and second place in the Inaugural Trophy.
However, there was no lack of anyone who would endanger his triumph. Jesús Garmendia on Llamosas Llain was nearly 8 hundredths slower (25.37 seconds), and Otti Verdú set the time with 25.60 seconds on Twiggy Ka, with which the Catalan was third in the Inaugural Trophy. Finally, they were second and third.
The winner quintet was not missed either by the young rider Pablo Valle, who is making a big contest in A Coruña and was fourth on Danthe RDPS, winners of the Inaugural Trophy and 26 seconds. And fifth place went to the Galician Javier González Fraga in his second output to track, on Titan Pravia and 26.35 seconds.
